Matt & Jacky Roncadin, neighboursMy wife and I know David as someone who not only cares deeply about his community, but consistently backs that commitment with action. Whether through fundraising and community-building efforts at 19 on the Park or as a dedicated parent volunteer within the Oscar Peterson school community, David has shown himself to be a neighbour of strong values, integrity, and genuine care for others.
From the people who know him.
Neighbours, teaching colleagues, and fellow volunteers, in their own words.
Jaimin Patel, neighbourI've had the pleasure of knowing Dave as both a neighbour and a member of our community, and I can confidently say he is someone who genuinely cares about people. He's a kind, thoughtful individual, a devoted family man, and someone who has proudly raised his family here in Stouffville.
As a retired teacher, he has spent his life giving back and shaping future generations, and that same commitment to service carries through in everything he does. He understands the needs of families because he's lived them, and he cares deeply about building a strong, connected, and supportive community.
I believe he will bring integrity, experience, and a true sense of community to this role, and Stouffville would be well served by his leadership.
Johnny Wideman, 19 on the Park advisory committeeI volunteered alongside David for four years while serving on the advisory committee for Stouffville's Nineteen on the Park theatre. As the committee's Chair, David embodied an effective style of leadership that simultaneously kept our meetings effective and focused on the agenda at hand, while bringing a gentle and thoughtful tone that welcomed our contributions and ensured each voice could be heard.
David is an approachable and invested contributor to our community, and in the years following, I have continued to witness the many ways David prioritizes community service and engagement here in Stouffville.
I look forward to his seeing the change he can make for Stouffville as a councillor.
Mark Till, teaching colleague, Dr. Norman Bethune CollegiateHaving worked with David for nearly 20 years at Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate, I know him as an energetic and positive force. He consistently supported students both in the classroom and on the sports field. Furthermore, David served as a powerful voice for equity and social justice. I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent two decades working with him.
